After completing Chapter 4, The Webbed Hollow by defeating Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master. Travel back to Chapter 4 and head to where you fought Venom Daoist and entered the Purple Cloud Mountain. From Venom Daoist area, continue straight ahead to the garden, and behind the big tree, a chest would have spawned containing the curio.
