Green-Capped Martialist

In tattered robes and a bamboo hat worn, Golden chakram through fire, a sight to adorn. Three times in snow, his Zen heart tried, Neither foe nor friend, just mischief implied. Gray and white, ice and snow blanketed the entire mountain range. In a deep valley, there was a peculiar cave with a lush green watermelon field, thriving exceptionally well. A young monk was in the field, picking melons, patting them here and there, but none seemed to satisfy him. Next to the watermelon field stood a strange man wearing a bamboo hat, watching the young monk pick watermelons. "My brother said that if there's a chance, I can test the monkey on his behalf," he said, The young monk finally picked up a watermelon, weighed it in his hands, and smiled, "This one is good, ripe and sweet. The one you mentioned, I've already checked him for you, he's good." The strange man replied, "If I don't test him myself, I won't be at ease to tell my brother about him." The young monk exerted his strength and split the watermelon in half, "Instead of feeling unease about him, I worry more about your brother." The strange man pondered for a moment and said, "The thing is guarded by my brother. There is nothing to worry about." The young monk, munching on both halves of the watermelon, said noncommittally, "That thing tests the bearer's heart greatly. He has borne it alone for many years, let's hope he doesn't fail at the last moment." The strange man quickly responded, "That's why, if this time that monkey succeeds, wouldn't it be the best of both of you?" The young monk stopped, looked up at the strange man, who quickly bowed his head and apologized. The young monk laughed again, waved his hand, and said, "Go, go. First, pass my disciple's test, then we'll talk about the rest."

From the [Valley of Ecstasy](/valley-of-ecstasy)'s Melon Field, just turn around and head into the large cave. A cutscene will start and Green-Capped Martialist will show up. In order for him to come you will need to do the Treasure Hunter Quest. From the Shrine in [Bitter Lake](/bitter-lake)'s North Shore, turn left and follow the beach line. Then go through the gate and continue going forward. You will run into a Treasure Hunter who is attacked by three [Apramana Bats](/apramana-bat). Defeat them to save him and talk to him. Next you will find the Treasure Hunter in [Valley of Ecstasy](/valley-of-ecstasy)'s Towers of Karma. From the Shrine turn back and go straight. He will be close and sitting on a tree. He is freezing and you need to use [Ring of Fire](/ring-of-fire) in front of him to activate a cutscene in him warming up. Talk to him. Next head from Valley of Ecstasy's Brook of Bliss, turn left and drop on the right side of the bridge. Continue down the river and at the end, you can go do on the right side. Follow the path down and you will reach Melon Field Shrine at the bottom. Now just head into the big cave and Green-Capped Martialist will be there. Upon its defeat, Green-Capped Martialist will run away and drop [Cold Iron Leaves](/cold-iron-leaves) x2. Another cutscene will occur and [Destined One](/destined-one) will obtain [Spell Binder](/spell-binder) spell.

The Green Capped Martialist is a fast and agile boss that will attack the player with his chakram in sweeping strikes and slashes, he can imbue his chakram with fire for more damage and power. He will merge with his flaming chakram to rush at the player in a series of spinning charges and strikes that leave a trail of flames in their wake, the player must constantly avoid these chakram rushes as they do big damage in battle, in the later part of his fight he can summon multiple chakrams to unleash multiple fiery charge attacks. He can also shoot a beam of fire from his chakram to attack the player from a distance. In the gauntlet of legends fight, the Green capped martialist uses two chakrams instead of one, using fast and graceful dual wielding combo attacks, he can shoot more fire followed by trailing wisps that can chase the player, and for a brief moment he can use a clone attack that summons three blazing chakrams that charge at the player quickly.
