The Sage Stone Monkey, with his inherent wisdom, learned the ways of human manners and speech during his travels across various realms and later achieved mastery of the Dao at Mount Lingtai. Setting aside his natural endowments, let us now examine his later pursuits in enlightenment. When he left in a huff at Yingchou Stream, the Old Loong King reasoned with him, and he returned to admit his mistakes. He abandoned arbitrary actions and always heeded sound advice. He forged brotherly bonds with yaoguais, engaged in jest with immortals, and exchanged banter with Bodhisattvas. This Feng-Tail General, with multiple eyes on his head, had a keen understanding of both himself and his enemies. He was adept at leaping and dodging, avoiding powerful foes whenever possible, and displayed a touch of the monkey's cleverness. It's no wonder that the crown on the monkey's head grasped his nimble thoughts so well.

From [Foothills](/foothills)' Verdant Path Shrine, go past the [Supreme Celestial Inspector](/supreme-celestial-inspector) area and at the edge of the next small area (where you are after obtaining [Somersault Cloud](/somersault-cloud)). Summon the cloud and turn left. Continue going almost until the end. You will see some small highground with parched land before where [Water-Wood Beast](/water-wood-beast) was in the water. Wait a bit in front of it. You can see the giant locust on the left. After a few seconds it will jump on this highground. Now get on its back and drop off from the cloud. Approach it antennae and use the interaction button and keep holding it. In case you miss it or fail, Rest at the Keeper's Shrine and come again, this will also restart the Fent-Tail General's position. Upon its defeat, the Feng-Tail General will drop [Golden Feng-Tail Crown](/golden-feng-tail-crown) and will jump away.

Feng-Tail General is more of a mini-game type boss. The boss jumps from location to location. To defeat it, you must get on its back using the [Somersault Cloud](/somersault-cloud). Once you are on its back, head towards the head and interact with its antennae. Keep holding the interact the button. Feng-Tail General will then jump two times. As long as you have above 320-330 Stamina, you will be fine. Otherwise use some item to increase your stamina (like [Tonifying Decoction](/tonifying-decoction), [Body-Fleeting Powder](/body-fleeting-powder) or [Ascension Powder](/ascension-powder)). After that you will need to interact with its antennae again and keep holding it. You will start taking burn damage. You can increase your burn resistance in order to withstand the damage and not die, but its best to have equipped [Fireproof Mantle](/fireproof-mantle) and activate it before interacting again. This way, you will be immune to Scorch Bane and you will easily hold on until you rip off its antennae.
