Ashen Slumber

Blow forth flames where ash is laid, for days of glory soon shall fade. Transform into a rat guai, slashing at the enemy while blowing fierce flames at them, inflicting Scorch Bane. Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward. Swing the iron blade three times, building up Focus with each hit. With full Focus, hold Heavy Attack to unleash this skill, exhaling a scorching wave that continuously burns enemies ahead. The longer you hold, the fiercer the flames become. Dodging will not waste Focus built. Release this Spell to self-explode, causing area Damage and De-Transforming simultaneously.

Ashen Slumber is obtained by completing [Two-Headed Rat Guai quest](/quests). From [Sandgate Village](/sandgate-village)'s Valley of Despair, turn back towards the village and continue forward. One [Rat Archer](/rat-archer) will be shooting you from the left, and three from the right hill. Just continue forward without taking turns. At the end, there will be a small house with a Two-Headed Rat Guai inside. Exhaust his dialogue until he starts repeating it. After you reach [Pagoda Realm](/pagoda-realm), the [Destined One](/destined-one) will come out of a cell. The cell next to this one will have [The Third Prince](/the-third-prince) and a dead Two-Headed Rat Guai with a sword in his chest. The cell is protected by a purple circle barrier, which is broken by defeating [Captain Lotus-Vision](/captain-lotus-vision). After that return and open the cell and get the sword to obtain the spell. If you don't speak with the Two-Headed Rat Guai in Sandgate Village, the dead rat won't be in the cell. You can still return and speak with the rat, and it will appear there. However if you complete [The Third Prince](/the-third-prince)'s questline by defeating the four captains before speaking with the Two-Headed Rat Guai, the Third Prince will disappear and the rat can't be found in the cell anymore. Instead, if you now go and speak with him in Sandgate Village, he will spawn on the second floor of Lower Pagoda as a Yaoguai Chief. From Upper Pagoda Shrine, turn back and continue going downhill to the second floor. Once you are on the second floor, just continue going in straight line and in the last room, there will be a table with the rat guai there. You can defeat it now to obtain the spell.
