Kang-Jin Staff can be crafted after defeating [Kang-Jin Loong](/kang-jin-loong). It is the upgraded form of the [Twin Serpents Staff](/twin-serpents-staff), and can be further upgraded to the [Stormflash Loong Staff](/stormflash-loong-staff) in [New Game+](/new-game2b). Required materials:

The description of the 16th-century Chinese fantasy novel Creation of the Gods (封神演义). The part '金丹炼就脱樊笼，五遁三除大道通' means that by refining the 金丹 (a Daoist term referring to the method by which practitioners cultivate their inner alchemy to achieve immortality), one can break free from the cage (metaphorizing worldly constraints or limitations). Mastering the 五遁术 (the art of transformation involving the five elements: water, fire, earth, metal, and wood) and removing the 三灾 (three calamities believed by Daoists to be encountered during cultivation) allows one to attain the 大道 (the highest state of cultivation). The part '未灭三尸吞六气，斩将封为亢金龙' refers to 三尸 (in Daoism, these represent three desires or evils that need to be removed through cultivation); while 六气 might refer to six types of energy fields within the body or six elemental forces in nature. Kang-Jin Loong did not complete this part of his training. In the story of Creation of the Gods, he was ordained as a deity after death. In the game, Kang-Jin Loong fails to resist the lure of [Yellowbrow](/yellowbrow) and becomes his disciple.
