Yellow Loong

In robes concealed, a loong lies, Trapped within the currents of life's ties. Soaring high, Golden Lining arise, Fate's trials from which none can hide. The plan he had was simple: since the old man could foresee destiny, he would surely sidestep misfortune. By staying with him, he believed he could elude all danger. After his brothers each fled to distant realms, he transformed into a loong pattern on Yuan Shoucheng's robe. For the next hundred years, he followed the old man across the vast lands, watching him decipher omens and foretell futures. But what good did his words change? Most, in their hubris, fell into the same snares. Whenever this occurred, the old man would seek refuge in drink. By fortune's grace, he possessed a gourd that brewed its own wine, and thus, he often drowned his sorrows in a self-spun stupor. In his drunken haze, the old man would often converse with the shadows. At times, he would mutter wistfully, "What use is it to see through the game if you cannot play it? And if you do not enter the game, what is the use at all?" At other times, he would be spirited and cheerful, exclaiming, "With life and death both predetermined, so why not be bold and give it a try!" Occasionally, he would speak with a heavy heart, "What's done shapes what's to come. How many can truly defy destiny?" And sometimes, he would sigh and question, "If you could predict where you would die and deliberately avoid it, could you really escape?" The loong often wondered if these words were meant for him. But since the old man never exposed or drove him away, he assumed the old man was just rambling in his drunkenness. As time went on, these words gnawed at his heart, leaving him torn and unable to decide whether to leave.

Yellow Loong is difficult with many fast hard-hitting ground and aerial attacks. Make use of your immobilize and pluck of many spells to gain control of the fight. Yellow Loong primarily uses his glaive in battle, attacking with wide sweeping slashes, stabs and strikes imbued with lightning, he will float in the air to unleash powerful aerial slashing attacks on occasion as well. Yellow Loong can also briefly turn into lightning to dodge attacks more easily. In the later stages of his fight Yellow Loong will imbue his glaive with more lightning in a series of powerful lighting charge attacks and aerial strikes that occur three times in succession which can seriously damage players if they do not avoid them in time.

Yellow Loong is located in [Webbed Hollow](/webbed-hollow)'s Relief of the Fallen Loong. Once you defeat [Bodhisattva's Right Hand](/bodhisattva27s-right-hand), you will use its body as a bridge to cross over and then drop down. Here you can take a left or right turn, take the left and cross over a long rope bridge. Continue going forward and there will be another bridge with [Clawed Cocoon](/clawed-cocoon). You can use [Cloud Step](/cloud-step) to easily traverse it. Then continue following the path and you will exit out of the cave and reach a green area. Continue forward and you will run into the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine. Yellow Loong is a just straight ahead of the shrine, however in order to be able to fight him, [Red Loong](/red-loong), [Black Loong](/black-loong) and [Cyan Loong](/cyan-loong), must have been defeated which would require [Loong Scales](/loong-scales). Upon its defeat, the Yellow Loong will drop a [Sea-Supporting Tendon](/sea-supporting-tendon), [Golden Carp](/golden-carp), [Kun Steel](/kun-steel), [Mind Core](/mind-core), and [Loong Pearl](/loong-pearl). He will also leave its weapon, which once collected will unlock [Golden Lining](/golden-lining) spell transformation.
